The JHB Eye Lady identity is inspired by a kaleidoscope: one ray of light transformed into a spectrum of colour, detail and possibility.
The logo grew from Candeece’s love of optometry and the image of a multicoloured kaleidoscope. In optometry, light is bent and moved so we can appreciate the world around us.
The kaleidoscope became an eye—representing the depth, precision and “rainbow of possibilities” behind what may look like a simple ray of light. That same idea carries into the practice: detailed eye tests, clear explanations and a vibrant space designed to help patients feel comfortable.

Candeece qualified from the University of Johannesburg with a B Optom. She describes herself as a committed optometrist and “total nerd at heart,” with a love for organised perfection, honest guidance and making sure patients are happy with both their vision and eyewear.
Her goal is to make optometry feel considered, classy and worth prioritising—an experience rather than a transaction.
Amulda brings an easy-going, welcoming presence to the practice and helps create a friendly experience from booking through to collection.
Outside work, she is an animal lover, enjoys travel—especially Thailand and Brazil—and likes unwinding with Netflix.
